That's what Mum had jotted down in her notes on the back of this photo.
Unforgettable Memories bought in Mini Misters so I picked up a package of three and I've been making my own Glimmer Mists using Ink (reinkers), H2O and Perfect Pearls. This layout has purple Distress Ink made up and sprayed on white cardstock.

The siding is going up.
This is what I came home to last night.
The colour is Mountain Sage.
The lower part of our home will be covered with Rock. We may drive down through the Pine Pass and pick up some green rock off the side of the road (free but a lot of work) or we'll buy the manufactured stuff (expensive but easier to attach to the walls)

Finally got a day to scrap
I've had this idea in my head for a couple weeks, but haven't had the time to get it down on paper. I decided Saturday I was going to ignore the housework and scrap. I even pulled out the sewing machine for this page.
The papers are all My Mind's Eye ~ 'Penny Lane'. I just bought the Quickutz hedgehog die. I sprayed the cardstock before punching out his body, and inked the edges after punching.

Update
We have new windows in the living room and bedroom. The bedroom one is behind our crab apple tree, but it is the same style with the one row of grill across the top.
Here's a picture from the top of the stairs looking down. The old door and the wall it was in has been knocked down. It is huge. It's hard to get that from the photo, but it really is a nice big room. And bright. I keep thinking someone's left the door open because it's making the hall and dining room upstairs so much brighter.
Here's a picture showing the wasted space above the hall closet. It is at least 2.5' - 3' wide and as long as the closet below (about 6'). It will be sealed in from this angle, but Rick is talking about knocking out the wall facing into our bedroom and giving us all that extra closet space. More closet space is always a good thing.

Look what I made
A bulletin board for Breanna's room.
I used a frame made for three 4"x6" photos. I took out the glass and popped in the corkboard with a heavy cardboard layer behind it. I decorated the top part of my board with Basic Grey's Wisteria line, some Prima blooms and lots of jewels.
To hold the photos to the bulletin board I pushed jewelled brads through butterfly punches.
Probably stick pins would work better; leaving smaller holes in the photos. But I like my jewelled butterflies.

Renovations
Our new room is coming along. Here's looking through our old front door. It will be coming out along with the window beside it so we have one big entry way. I love how high it is going to be.
It doesn't look like much with no windows, but it is going to be a wonderful sunny room once all that glass is in place. The windows and doors will be in next Tuesday.
The roof is on now, which is a good thing. It is forecasted to rain all day today.

New Layouts.
Karen and I did some scrapping while they were visiting. I managed to finish two. This first one has been on my desk for ages. Breanna is a fabulous little actress. She did such a good job. Melody and Lilia both came to watch her perform and enjoyed it. She had the second most lines in the play and didn't flub once. She didn't need any prompting either. I was so proud of her.
And here she is enjoying her birthday cake. Icecream cake from Dairy Queen. We did a scrap swap for Friendship day (Aug 2) and I got a tonne of neat diecuts from my friend. She is very talented at finding and even creating designs using her Silhoette. The corners, butterfly, and flower diecut all came from her. Thanx, Michelle.

Displaying my layouts
Check out what I made today.
I love it.
I wanted it to go on my entry way wall, which is a lot bigger. I could stretch my rod out to it's full length and display 7 pages on it, instead of the 4 I have now. That will have to wait till we've finished the renovations in another month. Then it will be a battle between Rick and I as to whether we put my layouts on the wall or Ricks dead, stuffed cougar up there.
I picked up a curtain rod and a couple packets of clip rings from Walmart. The only tools I needed were Rick's stud finder, measuring tape and screwdriver.
I can change the layouts with the seasons or just my moods.
