Using my scraps ~ a two page layout

I've been working on some pages with those photos you sent me, Mum.  Here's one of Emily enjoying Angel Food cake desert.

The big chipboard pieces are Basic Grey.  I used lots of this chipboard last year on Christmas layouts but still had lots left over for my banner and around the title.

After looking at it all week, I decided it wasn't finished.  I pulled out some blue bakers twine and outlined my doily mask so it popped a little more.  Some red snowflakes with bling centers and I think I'm going to call it finished...

MR. GRINCH

A layout for my brother's album.

I used lots of scraps on this page.  And I love how it turned out.

I sprayed white Mr Huey's ink over a big doily for the background and then added bits and pieces of papers I've had in my scrap stash.

Simple Stories two page layout

I found a new sketch blog... it's called Sketchabilities. Check it out. I used this weeks sketch and stretched it to a double pager.

I started off with a couple pieces of white bazzill and all the leafy masks I owned.  Most of them are Heidi Swapp leaf masks. I sprayed green Glimmer Mist and then splattered some yellow ink in places.

I chose the baby line from Simple Stories; I love the colours! And started placing my pieces...

I picked this sketch because I love the banners.  I had so much fun putting this banner together...

I have a triangle punch for those flags.  The others I hand cut...

I added some Jenni Bowlin tickets, MM love tabs, Stickers from the Simple Stories line and some big brads...

I loved this sketch.  And love how my page turned out...

So check out Sketchabilities.  I know I'll be checking out their next sketch.

I've scrapped a couple of older photos of Daniel and Grandma.

This first layout I sprayed and dribbled ink, then stamped some acorn images.  First time using this acorn stamp, though I've had it for 3, maybe 4, years.

On this 2nd layout I sprayed white mist using a chipboard circle as a mask.  Then I sprayed over an old chipboard alpha board ~ all the chipboard alpha stickers have been used.

I put the vellum over the bottom half of the photo because I really don't like the shorts Daniel was wearing.  I must not have checked his suitcase before he left. (Grandma's shorts are fine).

The family cat

Turbo loves Christmas Day.  So many interesting noises and piles of crinkly stuff to play in. And once the paper was cleaned up he had his choice of boxes to sit in.

I scrunched up yellow vellum to look like the yellow tissue paper in the photos.
