Rock work

Rick has been working away at getting the rocks up on our walls. It is looking amazing! All the rocks are ones we've collected from Pink Mountain, the banks of the Peace & Pine rivers while boating and other miscelaneous rocks found in our travels.

Two more digi layouts

And two more colour challenges finished for our Crop at www.scrapcentral.ca

Tuesday 8 September 2009

The colour crop at ScrapCentral.ca continues.

Daniel bought a packet of photos home with him from his trip to Victoria. Here he is reading with Kona on Grandma's sofa. Pretty much all Bo Bunny. I did this one for a 'burnt orange' challenge.

And here he is making apple dumplings with Uncle Kim. Uncle Kim's shirt clashes a bit with the Bo Bunny papers. I managed to cover it in the far right photo, but not in the left photo. Did this layout for a 'red, orange, sage and white' challenge.

A couple one pagers

I scrapped this photo of Breanna posing in the hole that is now our new front entry. The base is about 6' below the floor level and there's a crawl hole smashed through the concrete to the storage area under our stairs. The kids want to make it into a secret club house. I doubt they'll be able to reach it once I've replaced all the Halloween and Christmas boxes as well as all the other junk we seem to store instead of tossing.

We took some photos of Breanna the first day she got her haircut. This was how the hairdresser styled it. We haven't been able to replicate the look but it's still pretty cute.

My first all digital layout

It's a slow day at work so I spent the morning playing around with Corel Paint Shop Pro and a free digital kit from Kaiser Craft

The journaling is about how the girls were so cold and were shivering and shaking when they came out of the water, but they were having so much fun floating the Moberly River rapids, they just kept running back up the banks and jumping in again.

We're having a September Colour Crop at www.scrapcentral.ca and my challenges are all based around yellow and brown colours.
