We've got a new challenge going on over at ScrapCentral.ca. It's called Scrapping with the Oldies. The whole idea is to dig to the bottom of the pile and use up our oldest supplies. This week we're to use Basic Grey and chipboard from our stash.
Tanis didn't give me much journaling so I jotted down the little info I knew right on the chipboard letters.

X-box
My boys would play X-box 24/7 if I would let them. And if I kick them off the X-box they will pull out their Ipod or flick on the TV. Too many screens!!! I did this layout for Unforgettable Memories

Spring Break in Kelowna
Rick took the photo when he was down south with Breanna and Duncan over Spring Break. They spent a night in Kelowna visiting with my sister and her family. The papers and felt flowers are Jillibean Soup with some Bo Bunny chipboard thrown in.
I had to giggle at this photo. Check out the Dunkster.
I did this layout the same night I worked on the Backyard Camping layout. In 'camping' Duncan is a cute little toddler smiling sweetly for the camera. In 'Family' Duncan is an 'ornery teenager making a goofy face while pointing at his sister. My, times have changed.
Rick obviously wasn't paying attention while he was snapping away. He was quite annoyed when I showed him the blown up photo and he saw what he had gotten a picture of.

More Pink Paislee
I created this sketch for Unforgettable Memories. I created a How-To for making the orange Stickle swirl. It's posted at Unforgettable Memories It's a very neat technique using the backing from a Prima jewelled swirl as a pattern.
We're having a WESCRAP crop over at ScrapCentral The challenges begin with the letters of the name of the crop. I created this layout for the "C is for Challenge yourself" challenge. The instructions were to creat a layout different from how you would normally scrap. I like to layer, but always papers and flatter embellishments so I challenged myself to create a layout with more dimension. I popdotted the photo. And layered chipboard on top of chipboard.

7 gypsies mini album.
I found the neatest mini album at Unforgettable Memories last week. It's a 7Gypsies wood album and the pages are all different shapes. I started out by selecting three coordinating acrylic paint colours and painted fronts and backs of each page. Some pages got a little more paint than others. Here's the cover...I did some doodling around the heart opening and decorated the front with mostly 7gypsies product; stickers, rubons, and gaffer tape.
I punched flowers out of the 7 gypsies red velvet polka dot paper and then used the negative strips to add some colour behind my photos. On the flowers I used black jewels in the centres. On the negative strip I used Kaiser pearls as the flower centers.
The 7Gypsies velvet flocked papers are so pretty and who doesn't love all that texture? I used it to frame the roof of the 'house' page. I also cut a circle and placed it behind my photos on the 'quote' page.
I just love the 7Gypsies patterned gaffer tape. Just like using strips of patterned paper, but it sticks down all by itself and has a texture all it's own.
I was in a doodling mood the evening I did these two pages. Daniel and Tikanii are surrounded by scribbles. LOL
I used gaffer tape and word stickers to stick down the circle photo of Duncan. Breanna is surrounded by rays of 7Gypsies pp.
Some action photos of the kids. I like the way the pictures hang over the sides of the pages.
Some more gaffer tape, rub-ons and did you notice the Maya Rds felt I've used on most of my pages? Those would be the birds and trees.
And my back cover. The little sticker says 'created by Your Very Tired Mother'. I thought that was appropriate. LOL.
So now I have to get Rick to do some magic with his power tools and get this all put together on a key ring.
