Art Inspiration

Todays challenge at ScrapbookersClubhouse.com was to use one of the Group of Seven's paintings for inspiration. This is what I came up with. The photo is of Daniel, Breanna and their cousin, Tom, at the Dinosaur Museum in Drumheller.

Owls

Todays Make 'n Take at scrapbookersclubhouse.com was to make these cute little owls based on Brenda Pinnick's design. http://brendapinnick.typepad.com/brenda_pinnick_news_ideas/files/new_owl_template.pdfMy owls. I think the eyes are a little big on the Valentine's owl. I like Breanna's heart eyes better.

Now we need to make some cards to put them on.

Weeklong crop at Scrapbookersclubhouse.com

I'm scrapping all week long with the ladies at Scrapbookers Clubhouse. There are challenges, make 'n takes, games and contests. Lots of fun. The first challenge I completed was the layout with 'snowflakes' on the page. An easy one for me. I have loads of snow pictures to work with :)

Me at two.

A pink & brown layout for a pink & brown challenge. I stamped 'play' with brown ink on pink cardstock and cut it out.

A layout and a card

Breanna had this tree decorating her room all through the Christmas season. She packed it away carefully for the next Christmas.

I love how this card turned out. 'boy' doesn't show up well in the scan but IRL at different angles it shows up very prettily.

SnowFlake

The photos were taken at night and it was snowing, so they didn't turn out that well, but Breanna has had so much fun on the rink Rick built them I had to scrap the pictures. Jolee's stickers. Pink Glitter touch. Bo Bunny papers.

Skiing and Snowboarding on Worsley

Thursday we spent the day at Worsley. Rick had his new Head Cam with him and took some video. The sound is rather awful ~ maybe he can figure out how to dampen the wind noises. It sounds like an avalanche bearing down on us. Duncan and Daniel snowboarded. Duncan is in a brown hoody and is doing really well on the board. Daniel has a red and grey jacket. He's finding it a little tougher to do. He kept falling over and was getting frustrated. At lunch he said he was going to the truck to get his book. Rick told him he would boot his butt all the way to the truck and back if he gave up. Daniel said being booted in the butt would be the same as falling on his butt so what difference did it make. :) Breanna's bindings were too small for her boots so we rented skiis for her. She's looking forward to snowboarding next time we go.
You can see the video from Rick's camera here:

Quick card with Flocking

Here's a quick card I did playing with MM's flocking kit. The white flocking didn't show up on the light blue background very well so I circled the snowflake with a red ring. The white flocking shows up much better on the red circle background. It's very easy to do using the kit. First rub on the glue design. Second rub on the flocking.

ScrapCentral's New Baby Challenge

Lots of bling on this one.

Calgary Zoo layouts

Still haven't sent off Karen and Bern's parcel, but that gave me a chance to do a couple more layouts for their photo album. There's a crop happening this weekend at www.scrapcentral.ca so that gave me the inspiration for these two pages...
