A long tale and a little illiteration

Happy New Year.

Duncan and Daniel hooked up their new computer in place of my desktop, but didn't bother hooking up my printer at the same time, so I handwrote Drake's tale. It's more journaling than I usually do. I hope you can read it ~ though you probably already know it all from my emails and speaking with Duncan.

Remember Tanis's martini's this summer, Mum? She was giving me some more yummy sounding recipes over the phone this evening. I want to try the chocolate raspberry one. Maybe tomorrow night at Mary's.
Lilia was visiting this afternoon and over Gingerbread Lattes we came up with the journaling. ~Martini's in Merritt make us Marvelously Merry~ We were trying to think up another happy word that starts with M because Merry sounds too Xmasy, but came up blank :)

ScrapCentral CJ pages

This one was for a colour CJ. The third pink page out of about 6 so I guess Pink is the 'in' colour at the moment.
The theme of this CJ was your favourite gift. And it had to be something materialistic, not family, children...
My favourite gift is my laptop. Partly because I really, really, really wanted it and partly because it was a total surprise. Unexpected gifts are the best kind!

Vancouver Memories in 1969

I haven't done the journaling yet. I think that will be on the right page. Random memories. All journaling. No pictures.

I've started my Christmas cards...

I stumbled across this blog with card sketches and loved the first one so much I had to use it to get me in the cardmaking mood. I've got lots of cards to do for Xmas. I'm using the Daisy D pack I got. It comes with pp, rubons and stickers. On this card I've used a 3 patterns of pp, Prima flowers, pink metallic fiber and letter stickers.

Xmas long ago...

I spent the day scrapbooking on the dining room table and then cleaned up both desks in my scraproom, so maybe I can work on a few projects down there.

Mary is moving...

I'm so sad. One less for Wallyball. One less for Tim Hortons. One less for Martini Mondays :(

Rouge de Garance patterned paper

This patterned paper is so pretty. I used a huge MM photo corner on the top right and then added some flowers, a jewelled B and some zig zag strips.

World Card Making weekend...

There were lots of challenges over at ScrapCentral.ca
I managed to get a few entered.

Road trip mini album

Just a quick little mini album of our summer road trip visiting friends and relatives. I used a Maya Rd chipboard album and ran one of the boys' little cars through an inkpad and then across the pages. I didn't want any lumpy embellishments so I grabbed a few sheets of MM, Junkitz & American Traditional Designs rub-ons.

A couple of pages I've been working on...

I was part of a '5 Scrapper' challenge. 5 of us got the same package of embelleshments in the mail and had to create a layout with them. I put mine on a Rouge de Garance pp. The photos are my sister and her little boy on Mother's Day a couple years ago.

This one is for Unforgettable Memories (my LSS) The papers are Bo Bunny and Basic Grey.

On holidays

We're visiting my sister in Merritt and we've pulled out the scrapbooking supplies. Walmart has developed about 600 photos for us over the last few days and we've managed to get a couple of them on layouts. Here's one ~ Mum's appalled that I've only got one photo on a 12x12 page. LOL

Mini Album in an afternoon.

Rick left this morning for a 'guys only' fishing expedition. He's off to Quesnel Lake with 2 old friends, his boat and our dog. So I hauled my scrap stuff up to the dining room table and spent the afternoon putting together a 4 x 12 album of my 'girls only' paddle down the Beaton last month. Michelle at ScrapCentral.ca posted a link to Shimelles website which gave me a link to Fiskars website. Scroll backwards to the March video's and there is a 'How-To' on making these easy, skinny albums.

I took the book apart and scanned the facing pages together. I hope you get the general idea.
